Family Service Worker
At Shuswap Children’s Association, we understand that navigating services and new diagnosis for your child or youth can sometimes feel overwhelming. That’s why we offer the help of a Family Service Worker—a compassionate, knowledgeable team member who is here to walk alongside families as they access the resources they need.
Our Family Service Worker provides:
- Resource referrals and connections – helping families find and access local services, programs, and supports
- Community information service – offering guidance on what’s available in our area
- Assistance with paperwork – helping families complete forms and documents, especially those received before assessments
- A listening ear and practical support – while this is not a counselling service, we are here to help families feel informed
Whether you’re preparing for an assessment, looking for community resources, or simply need help figuring out your next steps, our Family Service Worker is here to help.
This service exists because of the generosity of our community. Through grants and fundraising, we’re able to offer this support at no cost to families—ensuring that help is available when it’s needed most.
