Our Programs, Services, Playgroups & Youth Groups
We are a non-profit agency providing services to children and youth with developmental delays, behavioral concerns, and support needs.
We offer the following FREE programs;
A Pathway to Hope
FREE Early Years Mental Health and Behaviour Supports through a variety of culturally safe paths. For children ages 0 – School Age.
Infant Development Program
We support families and children 0 to 3 years old, who may have a developmental delay or have a diagnosis.
Supported Child Development
We support children from birth to school age who need extra support to take part in their preschool, daycare or after school programs.
Occupational/Physiotherapy
We support parents with concerns regarding the development of their children with pediatric physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Key Worker
We help families and other professionals in understanding Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, by offering education and information for the needs of the child or youth and the family. We can also help in getting an assessment of FASD and other complex behaviour disorders.
Child Care Resource & Referral
Offering Caregivers
- Listing on database for referrals
- Activity visits, workshops, and training
- Toy and equipment lending library
- Supportive visits, networking with others
Offering Parents
- Childcare information and referrals
- Subsidy; help filling out and faxing
- Toy lending library and workshops
Early Years Family Navigator
We connect families with community programs and services, serving Salmon Arm, Canoe and Silver Creek.
Family Support Worker
We support families experiencing difficult situations.
Playgroups for Toddlers (ages 0 –6)
Come and play with us at our playgroups!
Early Years Autism and Positive Behaviour Support Services – The Nest (individual services at our office, in your home or in the community and social skills groups)
We provide numerous individualized services for children 2 to 5 years of age; an Autism Spectrum diagnosis is not required to join these services. Those with an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis can use their Autism funding for the services, distributed learning funds and private funds can also be used.
Youth Programs
FLY @ffinity (after school group for youth ages 8 – 13)
Small groups exploring new skills. Meet new friends, we have had fun cooking, sewing, doing seasonal activities and new themes are being offered all of the time. Come and hang out with us.
Fly@ Night and Fly @ Daylight (Pro-d, Spring and Summer Break day and evening camps and a youth night every week for pre-teens and teenagers)
Come and have fun, meet new and old friends and try some new activities.
LGBTQ Youth Group
A once a week drop-in. A safe space to be yourself and make new friends and connections.
We offer the following FREE MCFD Referral programs;
Our MCFD Child and Youth Support Needs (CYSN) Programs – The Loft & Respite Care
Supporting children and youth with support needs, so all children can learn and grow at their own pace. These 2 programs are only referred by MCFD Child and Youth Support Needs (CYSN).
For youth with intellectual disabilities, an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis or who qualify for MCFD’s at home program.
The Loft (for youth 7 to 18 years of age)
An after-school group with a club like atmosphere working on your youth’s individualized goals while having fun. Days camps during Spring Break and in the Summer are also available.
Respite Care (for children/youth 0 to 18 years of age)
Families can get some rest and relief through contracted respite, or families can receive funding to get the services that best meet their needs.
