While summer fun is still going strong, the back-to-school season (and even Christmas, for that matter) will be here before we know it. Now is the perfect time to get a head start on planning your child care needs for the fall, and we’re here to help!

Shuswap Children’s Association’s Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) program offers a variety of training, services, and supports in the area of child care and early childhood development. Funding for this program is provided by the Ministry of Education and Child Care. Together, the Ministry and your local CCRR work to improve access to affordable, high-quality, and inclusive child care in the community.

Looking for licensed child care close to home? Our CCRR team can be your first point of contact, offering valuable information, resources, and application support for families. To make your child care search quick and easy, we maintain an up-to-date list of local licensed providers.

British Columbia’s Affordable Child Care Benefit helps eligible families with the costs of licensed child care. Although the application process can sometimes feel overwhelming, our dedicated CCRR team is here to guide you every step of the way. They provide one-on-one support to help parents and caregivers navigate the application process and ensure families are aware of all available options.

Our CCRR team also operates a wonderful Toy Lending Library for children with a developmental age of 0 to 6 years. It’s a treasure trove of toys, games, trampolines, tricycles, puzzles, puppets, and so much more! Grandparents with visiting grandchildren this summer will find it’s the perfect place to borrow some fun — just return the toys when the grandkids head home.

Ready to learn more or get started? Visit us or call our CCRR team at 250-832-4191. We look forward to helping you and your family!
